3788216 - Missing Fields in Navigation Node's Editor in SmartEdit after SAP Commerce Cloud JDK21.9

Symptom

After upgrading to SAP Commerce Cloud JDK21.9 or higher versions, the Navigation Node entries start with the following unexpected behaviors:

  • CMSNavigationEntry objects are no longer displayed directly in the navigation editor.
  • Components (for example, CMSLinkComponent) are displayed directly under the navigation node.
  • Some fields available in the classic navigation editor are no longer shown.
  • Custom CMSNavigationNode attributes that are available through the CMS Structure API are not automatically rendered in the simplified navigation editor.
