3788217 - Sales Order Inherits Products and Quantities from the Contract

When creating a Sales Order from a Contract, the products and quantities from the Contract gets copied over the Order.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to Contracts.
2. Open the desired ID.
3. Click on Sales Order facet.
4. Click on New.
5. Save and open.
6. In the Sales Order, the Products and Quantity column are shown already filled with the same values from the Contract.

When creating an Object from another Object, some information will be copied over to the new object as per system standard behavior. In this case, the products and its quantities will be copied from the Contract into the Sales Order. This cannot be changed via configuration or any standard way.

However, via Adaptation Mode it is possible to add button "Add Products" button for the quick create screen in which the products and its quantities can be changed before actually creating the Sales Order.

Otherwise, it is only possible to modify the quantities after the Sales Order creation.

This is the system standard behavior.
