Symptom
The Tax Jurisdiction view in the Sales orders work center displays different values with respect to the values maintained in the "Define Tax Jurisdiction" section of the activity "Tax On Goods And Services - US".

Reproducing the Issue
As an example for the Tax Jurisdiction Code AZ - Arizona, the value for the Taxation Region is changed to FL - Florida via the Tax Jurisdiction View.
- Navigate to the Sales Orders work center.
- Select the Tax Jurisdiction view.
- Select Taxation Region "Arizona".
- Click on Edit and the change the Taxation Region to Florida.
But in the in the "Define Tax Jurisdiction" of the "Tax On Goods And Services - US" activity in the Business Configuration for the Tax Jurisdiction AZ the value maintained for the Taxation Region is AZ - Arizona.
This can be checked via the following steps,
- Navigate to the Business Configuration work center.
- Select Implementation Project.
- Select the Implementation Project and click on Open Activity List.
- Select All Activities and search for the activity "Tax On Goods And Services - US".
- Open the activity and click on the hyperlink to open "Define Tax Jurisdiction".
- Locate the relevant region.
Cause
From 2608 release the view Tax Jurisdiction can be enabled via the scoping question from business configuration.
- Navigate to the Business Configuration work center.
- Select the Implementation Projects view.
- Select the Implementation Project and click on Edit Project Scope.
- Navigate to the step 4: Scoping questions.
- Expand Sales then expand Selling Products And Services.
- Expand Sales Order.
Locate the question, "Enable Work Center View 'Change Tax Jurisdiction'"
The view Tax Jurisdiction of the Sales Orders work center is planned for the customers who use the Avalara or Vertex integration for external tax rate determination for their US entity.
For the users who has not iintegration for SAP Business ByDesign with either Avalara or Vertex, the Tax Jurisdiction view would display non relevant values.
Resolution
If there is not integration for SAP Business ByDesign with either Avalara or Vertex, it is recommended to descope the relevant scoping question "Enable Work Center View 'Change Tax Jurisdiction'" for disabling the view Tax Jurisdiction in the Sales Orders work center.
