Symptom

During the validation of 'QM - Master inspection characteristic' migration object, below error is thrown:

Expected reference to row# in sheet "Charact. Control Indicators" is missing in sheet "Master Insp. Char. Basic Data".  /LTB/MC466.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open 'Migrate Your Data' application
  2. Select the respective migration object (QM - Master inspection characteristic)
  3. Upload the file
  4. Validation error

Cause

A mismatch exists in the value maintained for the field "Master Inspection Characteristic" between the sheets "Charact. Control Indicators" and "Master Insp. Char. Basic Data" in the migration template.

Resolution

  1. Open the migration template for the QM - Master inspection characteristic object in the data migration cockpit.
  2. In the sheets "Charact. Control Indicators" and "Master Insp. Char. Basic Data", verify the value in the field "Master Inspection Characteristic" for each characteristic.
  3. Correct any inconsistencies so that the "Master Inspection Characteristic" value is identical across both sheets for the same characteristic.
  4. Save the template and re-upload the corrected file to the respective migration object.
  5. Run validation and confirm the error no longer appears.
