Symptom
A manual duplicate E-Verify was initiated for an onboardee with the corrected details; however, the Form I-9 section still displays the previously incorrect information.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
Reproducing the Issue
- Initiate a manual duplicate E-Verify for an onboardee due to an incorrect driver's license number in the original E-Verify.
- Close the duplicate E-Verify with the corrected driver's license number.
- Open Form I‑9 Section 2 and verify the driver's license number displayed with the incorrect number itself.
Cause
This is an expected behavior.
Resolution
A manual E-Verify submission does not retroactively update an already completed Form I‑9 Section because the E‑Verify process and the Form I‑9 are maintained as separate records.
The recommended approach is to re-initiate or correct the Form I-9 for the onboardee.
