3788769 - ME32K cannot edit contract after it was saved “In Preparation” in Manage Purchase Contracts app - SAP S/4HANA

Symptom

  • A Purchase Contract created in transaction ME31K and saved with version not completed can be edited in ME32K until it is opened in the Fiori Manage Purchase Contracts app saved “In Preparation”. After that, ME32K no longer allows editing.
  • Error message APPL_MM_PUR_OA_CON039 is triggered in transaction ME32K.
