Symptom
- When performing the retroactive billing and creating a credit memo/debit memo from an earlier invoice results in condition DPR1 calculating a value difference, but condition DTO1 is not determined.
- The credit memo/debit memo retains the original base price condition (for example, PPR0) instead of reflecting the price difference that DTO1 should calculate.
- No error message is displayed.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Create an original billing document with a base price condition maintained.
- Maintain a new pricing condition record with validity covering the date of the original billing document (retroactive effect).
- Open the app "Create Credit Memos and Debit Memos - Retroactive Billing" and create a credit memo/debit memo referring the original billing document.
- Observe that condition DPR1 calculates the value difference, but condition DTO1 is not determined and the credit memo/debit memo keeps the original base price.
Cause
In the copying control for billing document to billing document, there's something wrong on the Pricing Type.
As a result, the condition type DTO1 with condition category L (generally new when copying) is not determined in the credit memo/debit memo.
Resolution
- Open the configuration activity "Define Copying Control for Billing Document to Billing Document".
- Identify the relevant source billing type to target billing type and item category combination used for retroactive billing .
- Change the Pricing Type so the condition type DTO1 can be redetermined.
- Save the configuration and test again.
