Symptom
- Since July 2026, when opening the SAC Excel add-in of SAP Analytics Cloud, and connect to tenants, we cannot navigate to find model in SAC Workspaces which are missing to be displayed, even if user is system owner, in Teams included in these workspaces. It was working before.
- The same private workspaces can be visible and accessible from SAC Web (Folder My Files or from Data Analyzer)
Environment
- SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.8.17
- SAC Excel Add-in Version 2026.17.167
Cause
A change in July release modified how the "Select Data Source" dialog loads models, which caused SAC Workspace content to no longer appear in the browser tree from SAC Excel Add-in.
Resolution
Full Workspace browsing support is on development roadmap and will target a release end of September 2026.
Workaround:
1. In SAC, browse to the model in the Files view and note its name.
2. Open the SAC Excel Add-in and click "Add Table".
3. Type the model name directly into the search field in the "Select Data Source" dialog -- workspace models will
appear in the results.
4. Additionally, the Recent Data Sources section shows the last 10 models you worked with, which may save the extra
step for frequently used models.
