3789002 - Issue with New Shift Sequence Group Configuration in SSCUI 102429 – Define Shift Sequences in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

When attempting to configure a new Shift Sequence Group in SSCUI 102429 – Define Shift Sequences, the system issues the following error message: SV019 – "Select a key from the allowed namespace".

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log On to CBC System.
  2. Navigate to SSCUI 102429 – Define Shift Sequences
  3. Choose to create a new Shift Sequence Group.
  4. Enter a key and attempt to save.
  5. Observe that the system returns error SV019: "Select a key from the allowed namespace".

Cause

A key value outside the allowed customer namespace was used. Numeric prefixes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 are reserved by SAP and cannot be used.

Resolution

To create a new Shift Sequence Group successfully in SSCUI 102429 – Define Shift Sequences, use a numeric key that belongs to the permitted customer namespace (for example, 01–49). Avoid using keys that begin with the reserved prefixes 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, as these are not allowed for customer-defined entries and can trigger error "SV019"- "Select a key from the allowed namespace".
