3789379 - Business Partner replicates on first load but a later update fails: the update replicates as create instead of change

The initial replication of a Business Partner (supplier / customer) from source to target works. A later update to that same existing BP then fails: the change replicates as a create instead of a change/update.

• The source system reports the outbound replication as successful.
• In the target system the BP header is not updated.
• The inbound message is processed as a create for an already-existing BP, which fails with error R1 908 - Business Partner with GUID &1 already exists (the equivalent number-based error R1 286 - Business partner &1 already exists may also appear).
• The behavior repeats for every subsequent update, so updates never reach the existing BP in the target.
