3789498 - Company Rate field becomes read-only in infotype 0196

Symptom

After maintaining the Employee Provident Fund Rates (Malaysia) (T5LER) table with the Company Rate set for both the employee and employer in the Employees Provident Fund (Infotype 0196), after some time, a newly created Infotype 0196 record displayed the "Company Rate" field as read-only and it could not be selected.
  • The Company Rate radio button is greyed out and unavailable for selection.
  • Running the payroll driver applies the statutory EPF rate instead of the expected company rate.
