3789500 - Conditional Field Does Not Appear on Workflow Details Page Although It Works Correctly in MDF Portlet

Symptom

In SAP SuccessFactors, a custom MDF field is configured in the MDF object and in the related MDF UI configuration. The field visibility is controlled by another MDF field used as the conditional driver field.

The field is visible in the People Profile portlet, but after the record is submitted for workflow approval, the same field does not appear on the Workflow Details page. 

The issue occurs regardless of whether the driver field value meets or does not meet the expected condition.

For example, assume there are two fields:

  • Field A: Whether additional information is required
  • Field B: Additional information details

The configuration logic is: If “Whether additional information is required” = Yes, then display “Additional information details”.

This logic works correctly on the Employee Profile page. However, on the Workflow Details page, the system does not render the “Additional information details” field.
