3789658 - Cannot open SAP CPQ quote from SAP Sales Cloud with error "Edit action is not available for this quote status"

• When opening a CPQ quote from SAP Sales Cloud (C4C), the error message appears: "Edit action is not available for this quote status."
• The issue is user-specific; other users can open the same quote without issues.
• A CPQ quote created from an SAP Sales Cloud opportunity can be edited immediately after creation. However, after switching to another tab and returning to the quote, the error appears.
• No errors are logged in CI middleware.

SAP CPQ

1. Log in to Sales Cloud (C4C).
2. Open the Quotes work center.
3. Search for and select the relevant CPQ quote in Preparing status.
4. Attempt to open the quote; the error "Edit action is not available for this quote status." is shown.
5. Alternatively, create a CPQ quote from an SAP Sales Cloud opportunity. The quote can be edited immediately after creation.
6. Switch to another tab, return to Quotes, and attempt to open the same quote. The error is displayed.

• The affected user's default tab on the Load Quotes page was set to Waiting for Approval instead of My Quotes.
• During the SAP Sales Cloud integration flow, the system attempted to open the quote using the user's default tab.
• Since the newly created quote exists under My Quotes, the edit action could not be performed and the error was displayed.

Solution is to change the default tab for that particular user to be 'My Quotes' under the Load Quotes page.

It can be done in the below way:

1. Login to the standalone CPQ tenant.
2. In the browser address bar, append /QuoteList?tab=1 (to set My Quotes as default). Eg: <CPQ Url>/QuoteList?tab=1
3. Click on the User Menu icon, and go to User Page and click on Save without making any changes there.
4. Open the 'Load Quotes' page again, and verify that the My Quotes tab is selected by default.
