3789660 - Accessing Position Org Chart and Manage Position throws an Application Error

• An application error occurs when navigating to the following transactions/tools in Position Org Chart, Manage Position.
• The error message displayed is: "An application error occurred. Please try again later, or notify support (with the error information of errorId=XXXX, timestamp=XXXX, and the version information from the current screen) if the issue keeps occurring."

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Position Management

1. Navigate to Position Org Chart, Manage Position, Manage Data->position
2. Attempt to access or create or manage a position
3. Application error is displayed.

PositionMatrixRelationship section is added in the Position UI but no fields are added under this section which causes this issue.

Please verify the below settings:

1. Go to Configure object definition-> Select Position-> verify whether default screen is added or not.
2. If yes, Go to Manage Configuration UI
3. Select the screen id as per the above configuration.
4. Verify whether Matrix relationship section has fields defined or not ie Relationship type and Related position.
5. If not, then please reselect the Base object: Position where you can find these fields appearing then save the UI.

(OR)

1. You can create a new UI where Position Matrix relationship section appears with all the required fields configured -> save.
2. Assign this new UI to the Position object to resolve the issue.
