3789848 - Poor performance in BOP if running with PAL - Performance trace analysis indicates the longest time is taken in CL_ATP_PAL_CHECK_BADI_ADAPTER

Symptom

  • Backorder Processing (BOP) with Product Allocation (PAL) active shows slow performance and long runtime in aATP.
  • Performance trace (for example, SAT) indicates a hotspot in class cl_atp_pal_check_badi_adapter.
  • The longest time is consumed in method IF_ATP_PAL_CHECK_BADI_ADAPTER~ADAPT_PARAMS_AND_TIME_SERIES or method TMESERS_MAP_TO_CHECK_PARAMS.
  • The issue is observed when running a BOP variant for orders where PAL is enabled.
