3789988 - Error: "Failed to save the system notification settings" in SAP Datasphere

Symptom

  • In System / Administration, Notifications tab, the 'Email Server Configuration' is complete and the Check Configuration is successful.
  • An error is received when trying to save the settings:
    Failed to save the system notification settings. Correlation ID: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Sign In to Datasphere
  2. Go to System / Administration
  3. Select Notifications tab
  4. Configure 'Email Server Configuration'
  5. Click on Save

Cause

In the 'Email Server Configuration', the 'Token URL' is
https://login.microsoftonline.com/<m365-tenant-uuid>/oauth2/v2.0/token

Resolution

Replace the 'Token URL' by
https://login.microsoftonline.com/<m365-tenant-uuid>/oauth2/token
