3790098 - Offboarding program agenda field limited to 255 characters although mdf field length is 2000

• The Agenda field in Manage Offboarding Program is limited to 255 characters.
• Users cannot enter more than 255 characters even though the MDF field is configured with a maximum length of 2,000.
• The UI displays the message "255 characters remaining".
• This limitation occurs when adding or editing an offboarding meeting.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Open Configure Object Definitions.
2. Open the Offboarding Meeting Configuration object (ONB2OffboardingMeetingTypeConfig).
3. Verify the Agenda field is configured with Maximum Length = 2,000 and Data Type = Translatable.
4. Go to Manage Offboarding Program.
5. Add or edit a meeting.
6. Try to enter more than 255 characters in the Agenda field and observe the "255 characters remaining" limit.

The behavior is by design: the runtime input for the Agenda base value is limited to 255 characters. The 2,000-character limit applies to translation values, not to the primary/base input.

• This behavior is expected and is due to the different underlying field definitions used by the Onboarding and Offboarding meeting agenda fields.
• The Onboarding meeting agenda field supports up to 2,000 characters.
• The delivered Offboarding meeting agenda field supports up to 255 characters.
• This behavior is by product design and is not considered a product defect.
  
  

Customers who require a different character limit can submit an enhancement request through the Influence SAP program.
Enhancement requests submitted through Influence SAP are reviewed by SAP Product Management and may be considered for future product releases based on customer demand and product prioritization.
