3790526 - Legacy Home Page (V3) permission roles present in Role-Based Permissions without assignments

Symptom

  • Permission roles named "Manager Homepage3 Tile View" and "Homepage3 Tile View" are present in Manage Permission Roles.
  • Opening either role shows no permissions assigned.
  • Clarification is requested on whether these roles are related to a legacy home page and can be removed.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Manage Permission Roles.
  2. Search for "Manager Homepage3 Tile View" and "Homepage3 Tile View".
  3. Open each role and observe that no permissions are assigned.

Cause

These roles relate to a deprecated past version of the home page (v3).

Resolution

The permission roles are associated with a previous version of the Home Page, commonly referred to as Home Page V3.
Home Page V3 was deprecated some years ago and was subsequently replaced by Home Page V4. Home Page V4 itself is also being deprecated and is expected to be replaced by the Latest Home Page experience.
The presence of these legacy permission roles in the system does not indicate active usage of the current Home Page framework.
Customers can safely remove the unused permission roles if they are not assigned anywhere in the system and are no longer required for historical or Legacy Home Page configurations.
