3790666 - Employee is unable to complete I-9 Section 1 - Onboarding

• The rehire user cannot complete the US I-9 Section 1.
• Error Message Received: You do not have permission to access the page.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Login as the candidate or the rehire
2. Try to access the US I9 Section 1
3. The error is received.

• When a user has an I9 Reverification workflow triggered after migration from Onboarding 1.0, the ExternalUserVisibility on their new I9UserData object is set to No.
• If the same user is later rehired and a new I9 onboarding workflow is triggered, the system reuses the existing I9UserData, as a result, the error is observed.

PERMANENT FIX:

• Issue will be fixed as part of OBX-44663
• Tentatively, it is targeted to be fixed on 2H 2026 (b2611)
• Roadmap disclaimer applies.

WORKAROUND:

For Customers and Certified Implementation Partner:

• Until the release, the issue can be fixed via a script to set the ExternalUserVisibility on their new I9UserData to y.
• Raise a support ticket reference this KBA and provide your approval for script execution.

For SAP Technical Support

• Please refer to the Internal Note of the KBA
• Raise the script to apply the workaround
