In the Fiori app Profit and Loss – Actuals (F0958), the column "Amount in Transaction Currency" shows an asterisk (*) instead of a numeric value for one or more G/L accounts

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Profit & Loss – Actuals report app.
2. Select the relevant company code, fiscal year and other parameters.
3. Run the report.
4. Filter to or review the relevant G/L account.
5. Observe that the Transaction Currency column shows an asterisk (*) and the displayed values differ from other columns that show detailed total value information.

The asterisk (*) is standard system behavior in multidimensional grid reporting when journal entries exist with two or more different transaction currencies. Because amounts in different currencies cannot be meaningfully summed into a single total at an aggregated level, the system shows * to indicate that no single transaction currency amount can be displayed.

1. Add the row dimension “Transaction Currency” to the Profit & Loss – Actuals report to display each transaction currency on its own row and show the correct amounts per currency.
2. Alternatively, view or compare amounts using a consistent currency field (for example, Company Code currency) to obtain totals at aggregated levels.
3. When analyzing totals, avoid aggregating mixed transaction currencies; use currency-specific views or drilldowns.
