Symptom
When opening multiple parallel browser tabs that access a Web Dynpro ABAP application in Enterprise Portal, the following behavior is observed:
- Up to 6 parallel sessions, the application works as expected.
- Starting with the 7th session, the Web Dynpro ABAP application fails on two of the previously opened tabs.
- The browser network trace shows that the failing request returns HTTP 500 – Session Timeout.
From the ICM developer level 2 trace, we can see that the request successfully reached the backend, was assigned to a work process, and eventually returned an HTTP 500 error due to a session timeout.
In addition, you found the following EUID matched with the request dump:
dev_icm
[Thr xxxx] DUMP of EUID testidabcxyz -- count 4
