3790774 - Internal Hire from RCM routed to Pre-onboarding Rehire Verification instead of Internal Hire Process - Onboarding

An internal hire initiated from Recruiting is routed to “pre-onboarding rehire verification” card instead of the internal hire process.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Initiate an internal candidate from Recruiting
2. Observe the candidate is sent to the pre-onboarding rehire verification instead of the internal hire process

1. The candidate is an active EC user with 2 employee records: one is active employee, another is global assignment
2. The candidate uses the user id of the global assignment to apply for job requisition posting in RCM
3. At the time of onboarding initiation, the candidate's userid of the global assignment became inactive
4. So isInternal = false published in OnboardingInitiated event and Candidate determined as External at time of ONB initiation
5. But system found okToRehire = false in the user’s active dormant employment record
6. Finally, system routed the candidate through the rehire verification to verify the user again

1. Cancel the in-progress onboarding from the Rehire Verification tile.
2. Determine whether the candidate should be processed as an internal or external hire based on the candidate’s current profile state at the time of initiation.
3. If the intention is Internal Hire, ensure the candidate has an active internal user id before re-initiating onboarding
4. If the intention is External Hire, proceed via the rehire verification process

Prevent recurrence: During the Onboarding process, it is essential to ensure that the userid used for internal hiring remains active at all times.
