3790948 - Canada provincial forms do not enforce maximum field value validations - Onboarding

Multiple fields in the Canada provincial forms (e.g. TD1 Personal Tax Credit Returns form, TD1BC 2026 British Columbia Personal Tax Credits Return form, etc.) are not enforcing the expected validation rules, allowing candidates to enter and submit values that should not be permitted according to the form guidelines.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Candidate login and open compliance task for TD1 Personal Tax Credit Returns form.
2. Proceed until field e.g.Field 4 – Pension Income Amount > enter values greater than the allowable amount (CAD 2,000).
3. Candidate can submit the form successfully without receiving any validation error.

*Multiple fields are found having the issue but not all fields, e.g. Basic Personal Amount field already have validations in place that prevent users from entering values greater than the permitted amount (CAD 16,452).

It's a known issue.

Per engineering team, most of the Canada provincial forms are currently missing this validation. 

Engineering team have taken this up as an enhancement and the fix is planned for the 2H 2026 (b2611) release.

However, if this is considered a blocker, there is a possibility to prioritize the patch which could be made available by mid-September.

[Workaround]

For impacted candidates, it's possible to correct the form via pen/paper correction:

1. Download the form via Manage Documents.
2. Correct the value via pen and paper.
3. Input a comment on the form why it was corrected e.g. technical issues, incorrect amount entered.
4. Re-upload the form for the users.
