Symptom
- You can now transfer Personal Reward Statements for an employee from their inactive to active employment (SFCMP-236987)
- However the “Compensation and Variable Pay Statements” data category is not visible in Manage Individual Talent Data Transfer.
- The issue occurs when transferring compensation/variable pay statements from inactive to active employment.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
- SAP SuccessFactors Compensation
- SAP SuccessFactors Variable Pay
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Manage Individual Talent Data Transfer.
- Select an employee with inactive and active employment.
- Select the inactive/source employment and active/target employment.
- Review the available data categories.
- "Compensation and Variable Pay Statements" is not available.
Cause
- The required Role-Based Permission “Transfer Compensation statements using Talent Data Transfer tool” (Administrator Permissions -> Manage Compensation and Varpay) is not granted, so the data category does not appear.
Resolution
Edit the relevant permission role and grant the permission:
- Administrator Permissions -> Manage Compensation and Varpay -> Transfer Compensation statements using Talent Data Transfer tool
Note:
When transferring over the statement from inactive to active employment, ensure your environment is setup with RBP for Compensation and Variable Pay statements
For viewing the transferred statement(s), if you solely rely on the role permissions set in 'Change permissions for who can view generated statements' (in your compensation/variable template in Complete Compensation Cycle -> Reward Statements -> Manage Statement Templates and select Actions -> Manage Permissions), you will not see the statements in the user's profile.
