3791138 - In transaction AS03 system shows previous company code's assets after clearing the selection

Symptom

When using transaction AS03, after entering a company code and asset number on the selection screen, subsequent searches for a different asset number display results that are limited to the previously selected company code.

Even after clearing the company code field in the selection screen, the displayed results continue to be restricted to the previously selected company code.
