3791225 - Department name being displayed twice in header - SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central/Profile

After enabling Employment Differentiator with Department field, this field is shown twice for employees with single employment.

1. Configure Employment Differentiator in Manage Data and include the Department field.
2. Open a user’s Latest People Profile (Full Profile).
3. Observe the People header shows Department twice or with differing values (for single employment users).

Department is rendered by built-in header logic for single employment users (hard-coded retrieval from the Department entity), and when Department is also configured in Employment Differentiator, the header displays both values, resulting in duplication or inconsistent labels. For multiple employments, Department is not rendered by the built-in logic and relies on Employment Differentiator/header configuration.

Workarounds:

• Remove Department field from Manage Data > Employment Differentiator. Or
• Disable Employment Differentiator as per article 3770280.
