3791378 - Data Capture Form Creates Invalid Candidate Records in RCM Search Results with Error: "There was an error submitting the form. Please try again later." - Recruiting Marketing

• Candidates encounter the error message "There was an error submitting the form. Please try again later." when submitting a Data Capture Form.
• The candidate appears in the RCM Candidate Search results despite the submission error. When opening the candidate record, the following application error is displayed:
  • errorId=null, timestamp=null, errorMessage=Cannot read properties of null (reading 'resumeParsingRequired')
• The issue occurs when the uploaded resume exceeds the Attachment Max File Size configured in Company System and Logo Settings.
  • Upserted failed: The file size of <fileName> exceeds the maximum file size limit of 10,000 kilobytes with the index 0

Data Capture Form Submission Error:

1. Open the Data Capture Form.
2. Complete all required fields.
3. Upload a resume with a file size larger than 10 MB.
4. Accept the Data Consent Privacy Statement.
5. Click Submit.
6. Wait for the submission to complete.
7. Observe that the following error message is displayed: "There was an error submitting the form. Please try again later."

Candidate Search Application Error:

1. Navigate to Recruiting > Candidate Search.
2. Search for the candidate using Basic Info > Email.
3. Enter the email address used in the Data Capture Form.
4. Observe that the candidate appears in the search results.
5. Open the candidate profile.
6. Observe that an application error is displayed.
7. Alternatively, click the candidate quick card and observe that the same application error occurs.

This is a Known Issue.

Workaround

Consider adding a message to the resume field in the Data Capture Form setting so that candidates are aware of the file size limit.

To review the file size limit, navigate to Company System and Logo Settings > Attachment Max File Size. The maximum allowed file size option is 5MB or 10 MB.
