3791394 - It is unable to create BOM alternative in app F1813 due to error "Material & not maintained in plant &" - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• In app F1813 (Maintain Bill of Material), choosing 'Create Alternative' shows the error: "Material & not maintained in plant &".
• The material is maintained in the plant and an initial BOM already exists.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2608

1. Open app F1813 (Maintain Bill of Material).
2. Select a material that already has a BOM.
3. Choose Create Alternative.
4. Observe the error message: "Material & not maintained in plant &".

A product defect in app F1813 in release 2608 causes an incorrect validation when creating a BOM alternative.

1. Use the workaround: create the BOM alternative in app Maintain Bill of Material (version 2) / F1813A.
2. Implement release 2608.2 when available, which contains the correction (planned for end of October 2026).
