Symptom
When the checking rule NC (No Check) is configured for a material's ATP check in the material master, batch determination during outbound delivery processing still considers the real (actual) stock of the batch.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- In the material master set the ATP check to NC (No Check) for the relevant material.
- Create an outbound delivery for the material.
- Trigger batch determination for the delivery item.
- Observe that batch determination results are based on real/actual stock, not unlimited stock.
Cause
This is standard system behavior.
The checking rule NC (No Check) means that no ATP (Available-to-Promise) configuration is applied — it does not instruct the system to confirm quantities beyond what is physically available in stock. Batch determination always considers real stock regardless of the ATP check setting. The system will not confirm more stock than is actually present.
Resolution
No configuration change or correction is required. This behavior is by design.
