Symptom

Search functionality is not working for short case ID

Environment

  • SAP Sales Cloud Version 2
  • SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Cases.
  2. Search for a short numeric case display id.
  3. Observe that no result returns.

Cause

The search term is too small for specific search.

Resolution

Maintain the search configuration to handle short search terms (for example, short numeric case ids) so that they are indexed and retrievable.
