3792225 - UI jumps to first existing pay component after adding a new one via pencil icon in compensation information card

• When adding new pay components to the Compensation Information section via the Edit (pencil) icon, the system automatically jumps to the first existing pay component in the sequence immediately after a new pay component is selected.
• This happens before the access user has the chance to enter the remaining required data for the newly added pay component.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Navigate to the employee profile and open the Compensation Information section.
2. Click the Edit (pencil) icon.
3. Click Add to add a new pay component.
4. Select the desired pay component.
5. Observe that the UI immediately jumps to the first pay component in the sequence defined in the compensation structure.
6. Scroll back and re-select the newly added pay component to complete data entry.

The Compensation Information record contains a compensation structure and the latest people profile logic sorts pay components based on the order defined in that structure. When a new pay component is added, it is automatically repositioned according to the configured order, so focus shifts to the first item.

As a workaround:Add the pay component via Take Action > Change Job and Compensation Info instead of using the Edit (pencil) icon to avoid the ordering issue. Alternatively, remove the compensation structure from Compensation Information and add the required recurring pay components.
