3792332 - How to transfer a worker agreement to another country

Symptom

There is a request to transfer a worker agreement to another country.

Resolution

The process has been documented in Transfer or Rehire | SAP Help Portal.

Prerequisites

You've manually created a worker or uploaded your worker data to your SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition system.
The worker has an active work agreement.

Transfer

Transfer a worker to a new country, region, or company by creating a new work agreement with the same worker type. The original work agreement is terminated.

You need to consider the following, when transferring a worker:

The start date of the transfer has to be after the start date of the initial employment.
If you start a transfer your initial employment automatically ends.
It's not possible to have multiple transfers of the same worker for the same time period.
You can't change the worker type when creating a concurrent employment, it's always derived from the initial employment.
You can't transfer a worker during a global assignment or concurrent employment.
For a transfer you need to choose a different company code.

Procedure

Select the worker you want to transfer and choose Edit.
Go to the Work Agreements tab and choose Create.
In the Create a New Work Agreement dialog box, select Transfer or Rehire.
Don't change the Worker Type, it's derived from the initial employment and can't be changed for a transfer.
Define a Start Date that is after the start date of the initial employment, and a End Date.
Choose a different Company Code than the company code of the initial employment.
Choose Create.
Select a Cost Center.
Choose Apply and Save.
