Time sheet recorded for Contingent worker assigned to a Enterprise Project is getting auto approved rather than being sent to the Project Manager for approval.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Manage My Timesheet app.
2. Record and submit time for a contingent worker on an enterprise project (category 6 project).
3. Observe that the time entry is approved automatically.

By standard workflow behavior, only category 7 projects (Professional Service projects) time entries are routed to the project manager for approval. Other categories, including enterprise projects (category 6), are approved automatically even if an 'Approval required' setting is enabled in the data entry profile configuration.

• If the Approver determination BADI has been implemented then this implementation logic takes precedence over others.
• As a workaround we recommend to implement the Approver determination BADI (HCM_CATS_V1_APPROVER_DETRMN) so that time entries recorded for Enterprise projects goes to approver rather than getting auto approved.
