3792406 - Column Merge Behavior in Excel Export with Multiple Cross Tables in Web Intelligence

Symptom

After upgrading to SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) 4.3 SP5, there is unexpected column merge or alignment issues when exporting a Web Intelligence document containing multiple Cross Tables on the same report tab to Microsoft Excel.

Typical observations include:

  • Columns appear merged in the exported Excel workbook.
  • Column boundaries do not match the layout displayed in Web Intelligence.
  • The exported Excel file shows inconsistent column alignment between adjacent Cross Tables.
  • The issue occurs only during Excel export and is not visible in the Web Intelligence report itself.
