3792434 - Error R1228 “Bank details &1 &2 &3 in the validity period are not unique” when updating bank data via cl_md_bp_maintain with blank bank details id

Symptom

  • Updating an existing business partner’s bank data via CL_MD_BP_MAINTAIN=>MAINTAIN fails when the bank details id (PARTNER-CENTRAL_DATA-BANKDETAIL-BANKDETAILS-DATA_KEY) is blank while other bank fields (for example, bank country, bank key, bank account) are provided.
  • Error R1228 occurs: “Bank details … in the validity period are not unique.”
