3792459 - Automatic Hire Failed Due to Stuck Onboarding Workflow Process - Onboarding

• In Employee Central, the onboardee’s status remains as “Onboarding New Hire” even after all onboarding tasks are completed and Automatic Hire is enabled
• New hire not automatically hired into Employee Central after hire date
• Onboardee not available in Manage Pending Hires
• Hire status in Manage Data > Process remains "NOT_STARTED" instead of "READY_TO_HIRE"
• BPE Monitor shows an unfinished onboarding process instance under process definition "Onboarding2Workflow"
• Workflow task remains incomplete, with no corresponding job associated to the task
• Issue appears isolated to one onboarding process while other onboardees with the same hire date are hired successfully automatically

This is a known coding issue identified by our engineers. A backend race condition is preventing the automatic hire process from completing, which leaves an unfinished Onboarding2Workflow task.

• The engineering team is currently investigating this issue, and it is planned to be addressed on 2H 2026 release (b2610). Please follow the Jira ticket for the latest updates and progress: OBX-42751.
• Your account manager or CSM should also be able to track the status of this issue through the Jira ticket.

Workaround:

• If an affected onboardee needs to be hired immediately, manually update the Hire Status to Ready To Hire in Manage Data > Process, save the change, and then proceed with the hire manually.
