3792550 - What is “Change User Information” permission?

• Inquiry about the specific functions controlled by the “Change User Information” permission.
• Uncertainty about the implications of not granting this permission in the new system.
• Concern that users might lose access to certain functions without this permission.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Login to the instance and access Manage Permission Roles.
2. Under the Permissions, select the Manage Users permission category on the left hand side.
3. Find the permissions on the right hand side.

• The Engineering team was requested to check on this and they have confirmed as per the below:
  • This is a legacy permission item, the function has been covered by Manage User already. This permission item has been deprecated.
  • We will prepare an internal ticket and documentation to clean up these permissions in the upcoming next year's release.
• As per the above note by the team, these permissions should be removed from the instance completely for all the users with the next year May release which is 2705 (1H 2027). 
• This should fix the concerns associated to these permissions showing up on the instance under Manage Permission Roles.
