3792552 - SAP HANA: sapcontrol Returns "command not found" — Missing PATH / LD_LIBRARY_PATH or Broken exe Symlink

Running sapcontrol without a full path fails with:

-sh: sapcontrol: command not found

This occurs when executing any of the following:

sapcontrol -nr <instance_number> -function Stop
sapcontrol -nr <instance_number> -function Start
sapcontrol -nr <instance_number> -function GetProcessList

As root — expected behavior. Root does not source the HANA environment; the full binary path is always required.
As <sid>adm — indicates a misconfiguration. The sapcontrol command must resolve without a full path when the HANA environment is correctly set.
