3792645 - Offfboarding knowledge transfer task allows completion date after termination date — Onboarding

• In Offboarding, the Knowledge Transfer task permits setting the Complete By/Task completion date to a date that is after the offboardee’s termination date.
• No error message is displayed.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Log in as the user's role responsible for managing Offboarding (for example, manager).
2. Create a Knowledge Transfer task within the Offboarding process.
3. Set the Complete By date to a date later than the offboardee’s termination date; the system allows saving this date.

By design, the Offboarding Knowledge Transfer task supports selecting a completion date beyond the offboardee’s termination date to allow post-termination knowledge transfer activities.

• Currently this is expected system behaviour for Offboarding Knowledge Transfer tasks.
• If organizational policy requires limiting task due dates to on/before termination, manage this through internal process controls and guidance by informing employees not to set the date after the termination.
• An enhancement request can be submitted for detailed review and voting. This request may be implemented in the next product version.
