3792663 - Formation synchronization fails with "AccessMetadataGenerationException: failed to generate access metadata" - SAP Business Data Cloud

Symptom

Errors occurred while synchronizing the formation and BDC Cockpit proposes to restart the synchronization. The detailed error message is as below:

Errors occurred while synchronizing. Choose Resynchronize to restart the synchronization process. If the problem persists, report a case in the BDC-TMAP-DSP component and provide the formation ID "test0000-test-test-test-test00000000" together with the following technical details:

  • • Synchronization between SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition System S4H100 and SAP Business Data Cloud System xxx-bdc.eu22 has failed.
    – SAP Business Data Cloud System xxx-bdc.eu22 returned a technical error for assignment with ID testtest-test-4e53-8300-testtest1234:
    "An error occurred while performing tenant mapping: com.sap.cloud.connectivity.tenant.mapping.delegator.connectivity.AccessMetadataGenerationException: Failed to generate access metadata"
