3792674 - Field Query Properties are grayed out for a custom field

The Field Query Properties options are grayed out for a custom field. 

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2

1. Go to System Settings.
2. Navigate to Extensibility Administration.
3. Open the service where the custom field (ABC) properties need to be edited.
4. Open Field Query Properties.
5. Search for the field (ABC).
6. Observe that Filterable/Searchable/Sortable are grayed out for this field.

• The field is a custom reference attribute field that references a field from another entity.
• Editing Field Query Properties is not supported for this type of field.

1. This is the expected system design.
2. A message "Cannot modify the properties of custom reference Attribute field" is also displayed if you hover over the toggle button of the properties as an information for the same.
