3792970 - Cannot Use Filter in the "Display Product Availability" App in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition as No Entries Are Shown in the Product Tab

Symptom

In the "Display Product Availability" app, no entries are displayed in the Product field value help when searching for a material, preventing the use of the filter function and resulting in the error message: "You have entered inconsistent or invalid data in one or more fields. Fix the errors before continuing the search".

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the "Display Product Availability" app.
  2. In the filters, try to enter a material in the Product field.
  3. Observe that the list is blank and the system shows: "You have entered inconsistent or invalid data in one or more fields. Fix the errors before continuing the search".

Cause

The Display Product Availability app is an ATP (Available-to-Promise)-based application, and materials with the Availability Check field set to "NC" (No ATP Check) are excluded from ATP processing; therefore, they do not appear in the Product field value help, which can result in validation errors when using the filter function.

Resolution

  1. Open the application "Change Material" (MM02).
  2. Navigate to the Sales: General/Plant Data view or the MRP 3 view for the affected plant.
  3. Check the Availability Check field.
  4. If it is set to “NC — No ATP Check”, change it to an appropriate availability checking group that supports ATP.
  5. Save the changes.
  6. Return to the Display Product Availability app and re-test the Product filter.
