3793029 - Dependents OnChange Rule Compares Incorrect Values in Latest People Profile

• A business rule configured to compare a dependent’s previous and current first name instead compares the employee’s first name with the dependent’s current first name.
• Behavior occurs in the latest people profile.
• No explicit error message is shown; issue observed via rule trace and outcome.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Dependents Management

1. Navigate to a user’s Dependents information in People Profile and select Edit for a dependent’s personal information.
2. Change the First Name (and/or Last Name) field where an onChange business rule is assigned.
3. Review the rule trace: the rule executes but compares the employee’s first name to the dependent’s current first name.

This is a known defect.

1. Note that there is no immediate workaround available.
2. Plan to consume the fix when it is delivered with the 2H2026 release.
3. After the 2H2026 update is applied to your environment, retest the onChange rule in Dependents Personal Information to confirm correct behavior.
4. Monitor this KBA for updates.
