3793131 - Job Information Alert behavior when underlying record is deleted

Symptom

  • An Employee Central Job Info alert is not sent when the Job Info record that generated the alert is deleted before the alert is delivered.
  • User is removed from the alert in Manage Pending Alerts when the underlying record is deleted

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Configure an Employee Central Job Info alert that is created based on a Job Information change.
  2. Create or change a Job Information record so that the alert is generated.
  3. Before the alert is sent or due, delete the Job Information record that originated the alert.
  4. Check Manage Pending Alerts, see that the user's name is removed from the record
  5. The alert is not deleted but will not send to the user as the data tied to the record is removed

Cause

Job information record has been deleted

Resolution

  • It is expected for the alert to stay in Manage Pending Alerts without the user information due to the underlying record being deleted.
  • It will be processed at the correct time but not sent to the user.
