3793182 - Assign to Others is not loading the selected curriculum

Symptom

At a Curriculum Details page, when clicking on 'Assign to Others', the entity from where the button was clicked on is not retained. This is not the behavior observed when doing the same steps from an item's Course Details page.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log into HCM >
  2. Navigate to the Learning homepage >
  3. Search for a curriculum that needs to be assigned to other users >
  4. At the Curriculum Details page, click on 'Assign to Others' >
  5. The page that opens is the 'Assign/Remove Learning', where there is no entity selected: the options shown are 'Assign Learning' and 'Remove Assigned Learning' (which means the entity to be assigned needs to be searched for and selected again) >
  6. In comparison, at an item's Course Details page >
  7. Click on 'Assign to Others' >
  8. The page that opens is 'Enter Learning Activity Details', where the item is automatically selected as the entity to be assigned (as expected).

Resolution

Our Engineering team is investigating the scenario. Please set this KBA as favorite in order to be notified on future updates to this document, as per 2171560.

Workaround:

The issue is not reproducible through the legacy UI (that, when not using the Redesigned Experience for Program and Curricula Page):

  1. At Learning Administration > System Administration > Configuration > System Configuration >
  2. Open the file LMS_ADMIN in edit mode >
  3. Search for the setting enableLegacyUIReplacement and set it to false (enableLegacyUIReplacement=false) >
  4. Click on 'Apply Changes'.
