Symptom

  • Typescript compiler cannot resolve UI5 AMD module paths such as sap/m/MessageToast and sap/m/Dialog in the editor.
  • Occurs in all UI5 projects (newly generated and existing).
  • Preview and deployment work, but editor features like autocomplete and live type checking are missing.
  • Error message: Cannot find module 'sap/m/...'.
  • Error code: TS2307
