3793294 - Retention indicator locked in ME22N after invoice posting or parking

Symptom

In transaction ME22N, the Retention Indicator field on the Payment Processing tab is displayed in non-editable mode for a purchase order (PO).

The issue occurs when a logistics invoice document has already been created for the purchase order, either as:

  • A parked invoice document.
  • A posted invoice document.

As a result, the retention indicator cannot be changed, for example from Header Level to Item Level.
