3793371 - Growth Portfolio Team View Shows "Unable to Load Data" for Managers with More Than 1000 Direct Reports

Symptom

  • "Unable to Load Data" error is displayed in the Growth Portfolio Team View for managers with more than 1000 direct reports (e.g., ~1186 direct reports).
  • The browser console returns the error: BadArgument: targetFilterIds should less than :1000
  • On the Select People page, no direct reports load when attempting manual selection, if the manager has more than 30 direct reports.
  • Managers with the same permissions but fewer than 1000 direct reports can access Team View successfully.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Talent Intelligence Hub 

Reproducing the Issue

  • Sign in and proxy as a manager with more than 1000 direct reports.
  • Open the Org Chart and navigate to a direct report's Spotlight, or open Team View in Growth Portfolio.
  • Observe that Team View does not load — browser console shows: BadArgument: targetFilterIds should less than :1000
  • If the manager has more than 30 direct reports, navigate to the Select People page and attempt to manually select direct reports — observe that no direct reports load.
  • As a comparison, proxy as a manager with similar permissions but fewer direct reports — Team View loads as expected.

Cause

This is a Known Error.

The system has a hardcoded limit of 1000 for targetFilterIds. When a manager exceeds this threshold, the API call fails, resulting in the "Unable to Load Data" error in Team View.

Resolution

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2026 release (b2611).
