3793385 - Subject User details not available in 'if' expression for performance form Business Rule

Symptom

  • Subject user details not available in Business rule 'If' expression in Performance Management.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Configure a route map with two route steps and set both steps to hidden.
  2. Create a Performance Management business rule using the “Add Review Steps upon form routing” scenario.
  3. Attempt to build the ‘If’ condition to show the appropriate route step based on the subject user’s details ( for example: Grade or Nationality ).
  4. In “Select Left Expression,” observe that subject user fields are not available to select.

Cause

Current product limitation: as of the 1H 2026 release, subject user details cannot be used in the “If” expression logic of Performance Form business rules.

Resolution

An enhancement to support subject user fields is confirmed to be included in the 2H 2026 release.
