3793534 - Restrict Workflow Reminder and Escalation Notifications for the Final-Step Approver(HR Admin)

Symptom

A requirement exists to prevent the final-step approver in a workflow from receiving reminder or escalation email notifications when the workflow remains pending beyond the configured reminder or escalation threshold. Currently, reminder and escalation notifications are generated for all pending approvers, including the last-step approver, resulting in unnecessary email notifications.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

Login to instance.
Go to Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structures.
Open any workflow and see the Reminder and escalation is set for the whole workflow.

Cause

This is an expected behavior and system limitation.

Resolution

Reminder is controlled by Workflow Reminder Configuration .

Escalation is controlled by Workflow Escalation Configuration .

It'll apply all the steps if have that configuration, we can't make it only work at last step or for any specific step.
